GFT Technologies SE is an internationally active information technology service provider and software developer specialising in the financial, insurance, manufacturing and automotive industries. The MCA Group specialises in the development and construction of sustainable energy infrastructure.

Akbank AG has moved into its new company location in THE TWIST.

The tenant Akbank AG has moved into its new company location in THE TWIST. Together with the Mayor of Eschborn Adnan Shaikh, the Turkish Consul General Erdem Tunçer, the Supervisory Board, the Management Board and the employees of Akbank AG as well as numerous guests, the opening ceremony took place on 21 May 2024.

It was not only the spirit of optimism that was conveyed, but also the excellent business figures and prospects for the further development of AKBANK AG that were very remarkable.

AKBANK AG describes THE TWIST as its ‘new home’. The very successful furnishing of the new office space and the dynamic ‘home feeling’ were perfectly realised in THE TWIST.

THE TWIST can welcome its second anchor tenant. A long-term rental agreement for almost 3,000 square meters for the credit institution's headquarters was concluded with Akbank TAS. Directly on Frankfurter Straße in Eschborn Süd, the German subsidiary of the Turkish Akbank TAS has secured the top three floors with two roof terraces on the 5th floor for its new location. Modern working environments will be created here for more than 100 employees.

In addition, a rental agreement was concluded with the trading company Process-Pack International GmbH for a rental unit of almost 400 square meters. Both contracts were brokered by blackolive, a member of German Property Partners (GPP).

This means that THE TWIST has an occupancy rate of around 85 percent.

From summer 2022, Yumas will be serving delicious Natural Mexican Food in our attractive gastronomy space on Frankfurter Straße and on the most wonderful sun terrace in Eschborn South.


In addition, the Eschborn-based company Goldgas Germany is renting the office space on the 1st floor. We are already very excited about the innovative NewWork office concept of the nationwide electricity and gas provider, which is being developed by the workspace consulting company Vedacon GmbH, that is already based in THE TWIST.
We are very excited to welcome Goldgas and Yumas, two tenant partners who complement the tenant mix perfectly! The lively response despite the pandemic confirms to us that we are hitting the nerve of the times with the THE TWIST concept.


Including the two new contracts, only about 35% of the office space is still available. Beko Grundig, Posco International, Posco Europe, Ecos Technology, Vedacon and Jaron & Amann have already chosen our property. Promising talks are ongoing for the remaining space.

LET´S TWIST AGAIN: BEKO GRUNDIG GERMANY MOVES INTO THE TWIST

Two weeks after announcing the lease agreements with Vedacon and Posco, STRABAG Real Estate (SRE) can report another leasing success for THE TWIST: Beko Grundig Deutschland GmbH is relocating its Northern European headquarters from Neu-Isenburg to Eschborn. The manufacturer of household and electrical appliances secured around 2,700 sqm of office space and 520 sqm for a showroom. The contract came about thanks to the mediation of the brokerage firm Avison Young.

Attractive office as growth driver

"2020 was the most successful year in our company's history. The move within the Rhine-Main region to one of Eschborn's most modern office buildings is another important milestone in our ambitious AMBITION 2020+ growth program in Germany, as well as in our strategy for the Northern EU region," explains Mario Vogl, CEO of Beko Grundig Deutschland GmbH. He then goes on to explain why THE TWIST best meets the company's requirements among all the offers examined in the greater Frankfurt area:

Representative, flexible and sustainable.

On the one hand, the attractive architecture was decisive. It represents "new thinking, new working" and helps the company position itself as an interesting employer in the region. This is accompanied by a high degree of floor plan flexibility, which enables new work concepts and thus contemporary working standards. On the other hand, the available space not only provides room for expanding the headquarters, but also harmoniously integrates special areas such as the showroom for the Beko and Grundig brands, which is suitable for public use. Another plus point for THE TWIST was the DGNB pre-certification in gold. For the environmentally conscious company, which is industry number one in the Dow Jones Sustainability Index, the only option was to move into a demonstrably sustainable building. The new headquarters in THE TWIST Eschborn are scheduled to be occupied in the second quarter of next year.

Continued high level of rental interest

"Beko Grundig Deutschland GmbH, with the positive image of its Beko and Grundig brands and the extremely dynamic development of the company, is virtually predestined for THE TWIST," says Andreas Hülsken, SRE's Rhine-Main division manager, delighted at the latest lease signing. This means that around 60% of the building ensemble is now leased, with further interested parties in the pipeline.

"Eschborn-Süd continues to develop into an exciting location for companies. There is still tremendous potential here - and not just for tenants looking for a suitable location," explains Bastian Jourdan, Head of Office Leasing Frankfurt at Avison Young.

THE TWIST consists of two mirror-image buildings, with a total of 12,500 m² of rental space, connected by an attractive courtyard ensemble. It was designed by holger meyer architektur (formerly msm meyerschmitz-morkramer). Its construction was carried out by the general contractor Ed. Züblin AG. In addition to the DGNB Gold certification, THE TWIST was awarded the Wired Score Platinum certification.

The real estate developer STRABAG Real Estate (SRE) concluded several long-term leases for the office ensemble THE TWIST. The consulting company Vedacon leased 520 m², the steel manufacturer Posco a total of 1,150 m². The contracts were brokered by the Frankfurt brokerage firm blackolive.

Eschborn South in high demand despite pandemic

Posco is increasing its capacity in Eschborn with the move and is combining the two companies Posco Europe and Posco International Deutschland in THE TWIST. For the consulting firm Vedacon, which specializes in innovative workspace consulting, the attractive building architecture played a decisive role in addition to the high flexibility of the space. It meets all modern office requirements and is therefore ideally suited to represent the company's own business segment. Incidentally, the first tenants, Jaron&Amann and Ecos Technology, moved into their new office spaces in THE TWIST in the spring.

When equipping THE TWIST, SRE attached great importance to high and innovative standards. For example, both buildings received WiredScore certification in Platinum for outstanding digital infrastructure and DGNB pre-certification in Gold for above-average sustainability standards.

"The new leases and the unbroken high level of interest in leasing confirm to us that THE TWIST provides the right answers to current and future office requirements. We expect to close more deals soon," assesses Andreas Hülsken, SRE division manager Rhine-Main.

STRABAG Real Estate GmbH (SRE) has acquired the property "Rahmannstraße 1-9" in Eschborn's Gewerbegebiet Süd from CE 3 GmbH, a company of PHOENIX Real Estate Development GmbH and Art-Invest Real Estate Management GmbH & Co. KG. SRE is planning an office project development with two buildings on the approximately 6,000 square meter site. The sale was brokered by Savills Immobilien Beratungs-GmbH. The parties have agreed not to disclose the purchase price. SRE aims to start construction in mid-2018.

The Gewerbegebiet Süd in Eschborn covers 50 hectares, borders on the BAB66 motorway and is home to jobs for around 20,000 people. "Not least due to the current new construction projects, the Gewerbegebiet Süd has developed positively. I am sure that it will continue to gain in importance in the Rhine-Main region in the future," explains Andreas Hülsken, head of SRE's Rhine-Main division. Due to numerous new developments, the location has recently gained in importance in terms of urban development and architecture. The newly planned projects lend additional dynamics to this positive trend. In addition, the other general conditions in the South Industrial Park are set for growth. For example, traffic connections will improve significantly due to the future exit from the BAB66 highway. For Hülsken, the situation is therefore clear: "We are delighted about the land acquisition. And about being able to contribute to the further positive development of the south industrial estate with our planned modern office buildings."
